What is Chrome & Blood

More than 500 mods are tuned as one overhaul across combat, AI, hacking, stealth, economy, cyberware, vehicles, and visuals. Every system pushes toward the same hostile, high-stakes Night City.

Choose Standard for the complete gameplay overhaul or Immersive for survival systems and a restricted HUD. Both profiles are balanced around Very Hard. The Player Guide explains the details in-game.

Combat

Fights last seconds, not minutes. Low Health keeps every hit meaningful; armor, abilities, equipment, AI, and encounter role create the real difference between enemies.

  • Much Better AI and Cyber Enemies make squads coordinate, reposition, and deploy new cyberware abilities
  • ME Armor adds visible armor segments that reward penetration, target selection, and sustained pressure
  • Faction traits and reinforcements make encounters distinct and unpredictable
  • Damage Scaling and Balance keeps every weapon archetype viable without turning serious enemies into oversized Health bars

Stealth & Hacking

Stealth is dangerous. Enemies are observant, bodies get found, and one mistake cascades. Hacking has been rebuilt from scratch.

  • Enemies investigate noise, react to bodies and takedowns, and search your last known position
  • Enemy netrunners reposition and support their squad instead of standing still
  • Much Better Netrunning overhauls hacking from the ground up

Cosmetics: as of v3.2, cosmetic mods have been pulled from both profiles. Chrome & Blood is purely gameplay — add whatever cosmetics you want on top, and use the [NoDelete] tag in MO2 to keep your additions safe across updates.

This list isn't meant to be easy. In Chrome & Blood's Night City, survival isn't a right — it's earned.
